Algorithmix Audio Sample Library

In order to playback the audio files, you can use the PlugInStation from Sound Laundry™, Easy Tools™ or any other player, which is able to play .mp3 files, e.g., Winamp.

The audio examples are intended to give you an impression of how effectively the algorithms in Sound Laundry™ and Sound Laundry™ compact edition work even when dealing with extremely damaged audio material. The orginal files and processed files have been converted to .mp3 format in order to decrease their size for downloading purposes. Therefore be aware of distortion or artifacts that have possibly been introduced to the audio material due to MPEG-encoding process. Please also notice that the restoration process has been done on original, non MPEG-encoded .wav files. So don't be surprised, if you get different results after cleaning MPEG-encoded originals.

Description
The file SL-Original1.mp3 is an extremely bad classical piece from an old record. SL-Declick1.mp3 has been declicked using the De-Scratcher from Sound Laundry™. You will notice a tremendous difference, but also that a lot of noise still remained in the recording. Therefore the file has been denoised with the De-Noiser from Sound Laundry™. You can hear the amazing improvement by playing back the file SL-Restored1.mp3. This is a typical example which illustrates how good the De-Scratcher and De-Noiser work together on extremely damaged audio material. It would be possible to enhance the sonic quality of the file further more using other PlugIns like the High-Lowpass Filter or the Equalizer that will soon be available.

Description
The file SL-Original2.mp3 is a live jazz recording with an extremely loud buzz introduced by the light system installed on the stage. SL-Declick2.mp3 is the declicked version that has been processed with the De-Scratcher from Sound Laundry™. You will notice that the buzz has been strongly suppressed and after processing with the De-Noiser has almost entirely disappeared. You can hear the astonishing result in the file SL-Restored2.mp3. This is another good example of how well the De-Scratcher together with the De-Noiser can cope with problematic everyday recording situations like mains hum.

The file slcorg.mp3 contains a classical recording taken from an old shellac record. This recording has been cleaned using the De-Scratcher and De-Noiser from Sound Laundry™ compact edition. You will notice an amazing sound difference between the original and the cleaned version.
